Walking Ireland's Best Routes

We're ultatech Limited, and we've spent years mapping the finest walking paths across Ireland — from Dublin's urban streets to Wicklow's hidden valleys and stunning coastal trails.

Scenic Irish walking trail through green countryside with mountains visible

How We Got Here

It started simple. A few of us loved walking — really loved it. We'd spend weekends exploring trails, discovering hidden paths, and figuring out what made certain routes special. Then we realized something: people wanted this information, but there wasn't a reliable place to find it. Most online guides were either outdated, vague, or incomplete.

So we decided to change that. We've been creating detailed walking route guides since 2018, combining practical information with genuine insight about what you'll experience on each trail. We've walked every route we recommend. We've tested the difficulty levels. We know where the best views are and which paths work for families with young kids.

Today, ultatech Limited works with walkers across Ireland — from casual Sunday strollers to serious hikers planning week-long adventures. We focus on three main areas: Dublin city walks for urban exploration, Wicklow countryside rambles for nature immersion, and coastal footpath routes for those dramatic sea views. But really, we're here to help you discover Ireland on foot.

Our Method

How We Build Walking Guides

1

We Walk It First

Every route gets walked multiple times — different seasons, different weather conditions. We're not relying on old data or secondhand information.

2

We Document Everything

GPS coordinates, timing, difficulty assessment, photo documentation, and practical notes about terrain, hazards, and facilities.

3

We Test With Different Groups

We validate routes with families, older walkers, fitness enthusiasts, and beginners. A route that works for everyone is worth sharing.

4

We Keep It Current

Ireland's trails change. New paths open, conditions shift, facilities improve. We update guides regularly to stay accurate.

What Drives Us

The Principles Behind Our Work

Accuracy Matters

Bad information ruins a walk. We're obsessive about getting details right — distances, times, conditions, everything.

Access for Everyone

Walking isn't just for the super-fit. We focus heavily on accessible routes and alternatives for different ability levels.

Respect the Land

We promote responsible walking practices. Leave no trace, respect private property, protect ecosystems. These trails are for everyone's future.

Celebrate Irish Landscapes

From Dublin's Georgian squares to Wicklow's mountains and the Irish coastline's raw beauty — we want people to experience Ireland properly.
